We are also moving from incident detection to prevention, improving the outcomes for life safety.”  Featured fire and life safety technologies NOTIFIER INSPIRE™ – Using Honeywell's Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) platform, the fire control system is an all-in-one fire panel that delivers reliable protection, scalability, efficient monitoring, as well as flexible and timely reporting. Honeywell Morley-IAS Max – A compact, powerful, performance-driven intelligent fire alarm control panel that offers installers and end users a technically advanced range of functions that are simple to install, commission, and maintain. Honeywell Gent Self-Test Detector - A new range of detectors that will revolutionise the way we test and inspect life safety systems. This patented and approved self-test technology will overcome obstacles such as locked rooms, hard-to-access areas, high ceilings, and large sites which often lead to detectors being un-tested and hidden risks potentially missed. Outcome-based solutions Honeywell is committed to providing security solutions that are both highly effective and cost-efficient" "Honeywell is committed to providing our customers with comprehensive security solutions that are both highly effective and cost-efficient,” said Daraius Patell, vice president and general manager, of Commercial Security, at Honeywell.  “We continue to work with our teams to create and improve the latest security products that provide outcome-based solutions for our customers that help create peace of mind improve uptime and help grow business resilience.”  Featured security technologies 35 Series NVRs and Cameras – The 35 Series IP cameras and NVR offerings, when combined, provide an NDAA-compliant, end-to-end encrypted video security solution suitable for small- to medium-sized buildings. The latest update includes bullet, dome, micro-dome, ball and Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) models with 2, 3, 5, and 8MP resolution options. The fully featured NVRs include a built-in encryption chipset that helps reduce the possibility of data breaches.  MAXPRO Access - Honeywell MAXPRO Access (MPA) is a simple, scalable, and secure Access Control solution that is integrated with MAXPRO Cloud for total video, access, and intrusion management and awareness across multi-site locations with real-time alarm notifications and operational visibility on the go. Honeywell Pro-Watch 6.0 – Honeywell Pro-Watch 6.0 will provide automated incident workflows to further reduce operational costs and enable stronger compliance needed for highly-regulated industries without adding work to security teams. It will also feature native integration to Honeywell Vindicator panels, offering military-grade intrusion detection capabilities. Further, the product will provide information-driven focused responses to help improve uptime. MAXPRO VMS 750 – This allows users to control, collect, manage, and present multiple video sources via a highly scalable system that can support video networks that range from single instances in a small- to the medium-sized building to thousands of devices across an enterprise. It integrates with Honeywell security management solutions to leverage access control, intrusion detection systems, and powerful AI analytics. Catalyst Partner Program (CPP) Honeywell will also highlight its Catalyst Partner Program (CPP), a customer-centric global framework to better support the growth and success of its system integrator, distributor, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners. The global programme streamlines previous channel partner programme experiences across the Honeywell Fire, Security, and Building Management Systems (BMS) businesses to help improve end customer standard of care and create greater efficiencies through a new digital platform. The new programme includes a new digital Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platform that offers partners a digital resource to manage their portfolios as well as track their progress, incentives, and benefits.

Honeywell's new fire detection and alarm systems enhance occupant safety

Honeywell announced the launch of the Morley-IAS Max fire detection and alarm system that helps improve building and occupant safety. The compact, powerful, performance-driven intelligent fire alarm control panel offers installers and end users a technically advanced range of functions that is easy to install, commission, and maintain.  Features The system features an advanced 7-inch touchscreen panel, providing a highly intuitive and ergonomic user interface. The panel displays colour-coded events and graphical icons. It boasts cutting-edge technologies such as multi-Boolean logic and CAN bus protocol between panels, helping enable faster communication. Efficient communication  The product is designed to eliminate the time-consuming and difficult installation of add-on components" “Honeywell’s Morley-IAS Max panel helps create safer spaces for occupants, while also enabling building owners to better adhere to standard safety guidelines,” said Lionel Caillat, General Manager and Vice President of Fire, Honeywell Europe.  Lionel Caillat adds, “The product is designed to eliminate the time-consuming and technically difficult installation of add-on components. It communicates clearly and unambiguously, and efficiently manages complicated evacuation strategies in the event of an emergency.”  Applications  Morley-IAS Max is well suited for operation in various verticals such as commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and hospitality. Its full backward compatibility makes it well suited for retrofit projects as it supports a range of field devices, including third-party manufacturer devices. The aesthetically pleasing panel delivers high-quality design in commercial or luxury environments. Multiple installation options The system incorporates serial communication ports, relays, and CAN bus networks to help reduce complexities typically encountered during ordering and installation. The panels offer multiple installation options in addition to standard wall mounting and flush mounting. The National Library of Wales (NLW), the largest library in the country, recently completed a full site upgrade with Morley-IAS Max, which brought the site up to an L1-type fire alarm system. Saves time and money As the site was fitted with older technology from a previous supplier, the upgraded fire system required the installation of new System Sensor hard-wired equipment and Agile radio equipment.  The backward compatibility of Morley-IAS Max could fully interface with its existing smoke beams and aspirating smoke detection systems, saving the NLW money and time on the installation. The Morley-IAS Max panel is tested and certified in compliance with EN 54-2 and EN 54-4 standards.

Honeywell Building Technologies recently earned ISA/IEC 62443-4-1 process certification for its software development lifecycle

Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT) recently earned ISA/IEC 62443-4-1 Process Certification for its software development lifecycle. ISA/IEC 62443-4-1 certification underscores HBT’s commitment to following best practices and standards in developing secure, cyber-resilient products. The ISA/IEC 62443 standards define requirements and processes for implementing and maintaining electronically secure industrial automation and control systems. The certification standards set best practices for security and provide a way to assess the level of security performance. Secure industrial automation They require a holistic approach to cybersecurity, which includes bridging the gap between operations technology and information technology, as well as between process safety and cybersecurity. Implementation offers a significant level of assurance that products developed by the organisation are resilient to cyber threats. Our aim is to strengthen the environment into which our products are placed" “We start with a secure- and privacy-by-design approach for every product we develop. Our aim is to strengthen the environment into which our products are placed,” said Udaya Shrivastava, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, HBT. He adds, “Obtaining this level of certification is a testament to the commitment of the HBT product cybersecurity team to integrate security throughout every step of the product design process.” Gathering substantial evidence One of only 19 companies to gain this certification, Honeywell is further demonstrating its commitment to protecting the world they work and live in. As part of the certification process, an ISA/IEC assessor conducts a deep dive into the company’s defined processes and compares them against the criteria of the 62443 standard. Projects are picked at random and inspected with the intention of gathering substantial evidence to confirm whether the declared processes are being followed. This thorough assessment can take several months.
