Tyco Security Products, part of Johnson Controls, announced that its iSTAR Ultra Video solution from Software House was honoured with the Best New Product Award in the Access Control Software & Controllers category of the 2017 SIA New Product Showcase, awarded at ISC West in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sponsored by the Security Industry Association, the annual SIA NPS is one of the top accolades for product innovation in the industry.

Integrated video and access control monitoring

“Tyco Security Products is honoured that iSTAR Ultra Video is recognised by the industry for the versatility and scalability it brings to our customers looking to secure their networks of distributed sites,” said Rick Focke, Senior Product Manager for Tyco Security Products, Hardware. “iSTAR Ultra Video brings integrated video and access control monitoring to small sites in one small appliance, eliminating the need for separate devices and network connections, and reducing installation and infrastructure costs.”

iSTAR Ultra Video delivers integrated, small site security scaled for enterprise management and performance using C•CURE 9000 Security and Event Management software from Software House or American Dynamics’ victor Unified client. iSTAR Ultra Video brings access control and video recording to the edge, allowing users to remotely control up to eight doors and eight IP video cameras using a single appliance, without the need for server software at each site.

Electronic physical security

The Security Industry Association’s (SIA) New Product Showcase is a premier awards-based program that was established in 1979 to recognise innovative products, services, and solutions in electronic physical security. SIA recognises winners in several product and service categories at ISC West each year by awarding its prestigious Judges Choice and Best New Product Awards.
