QNAP® Systems, Inc. recently released the Qphoto mobile app for iOS®, allowing users to conveniently browse, upload, download and share photos stored on a QNAP NAS with their iPhone or iPad devices on the go.

Manages photo collections

Qphoto includes various ways for managing photo collections. Users can quickly search for photos by dates or tags, flexibly browse photos and videos via timeline, thumbnails, lists and folders, instantly upload/download media to/from a QNAP NAS, and easily share photos by email or social networks.

The new Qphoto for iOS uniquely provides a customised design for vertical and horizontal layouts on iPad. “It is convenient to use an iPad with the vertical display while being easy to browse content in a horizontal view,” said Cherry Chen, product manager of QNAP. “Qphoto’s customised user interface can bring the best browsing experience for users no matter what display orientation theyuse their iPad with.”

Qphoto for iOS adds support for the CloudLink remote access service, allowing users to easily browse photos and videos on their QNAP NAS when away from home or office. “We have received significant feedback from iOS users hoping to use the CloudLink service, and we are happy to add this feature when releasing the new Qphoto mobile app,” added Chen.

The new Qphoto supports iOS devices with iOS 7 (and newer). To fully enjoy Qphoto’s complete features, users must upgrade their QNAP NAS firmware to QTS 4.2 (or newer) and install Photo Station (version 5.0 or newer) from the QTS App Center.

Availability

Qphoto is now available from the App Store on iOS devices.
