In his current role at Siemens, Philomin leads Data and AI, where he is responsible for accelerating the development of the company’s AI portfolio across industrial applications. Previously, at Amazon, he spearheaded the creation of Amazon Bedrock, a platform that enables enterprises to rapidly build and scale generative AI applications. He also helped lead AWS’s generative AI and product strategy efforts, including the development and deployment of foundation models via Bedrock.

Prior roles of Philomin 

Before Amazon, Philomin pioneered connected lighting solutions at Philips for municipalities and global landmarks, including the Empire State Building and the Bay Bridge. 

With more than 100 U.S. patents, he combines deep technical expertise with a proven ability to develop and commercialise innovations that deliver significant business impact. Philomin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and dual Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
