Open Options, an open platform access control and software development company, and Axis Communications, the global leader in network video, announce the integration of Open Options' DNA Fusion™ with AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller.

Open Options and Axis Communications are both proponents of the value of open architecture in access control software and hardware. By integrating DNA Fusion with AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller, the integration provides a non-proprietary, open IP-based complete access control solution that is leading edge and future proof.

DNA Fusion

DNA Fusion is designed with an open platform approach, for the extended enterprise, taking full advantage of the Distributed Network Architecture model. DNA Fusion delivers all the power and features available in a clean and easy-to-use interface, allowing users to monitor several systems through a common interface including audio and IP video recording.

“As a long-standing proponent of the value of open architecture in access control software and hardware, Open Options welcomes more solutions like the AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller to the security marketplace,” said Jonathan Berman, Open Options President and General Manager. “We’re excited to offer our customers technologically advanced, open platform door controllers for their physical access control needs.”

AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller

AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller is non-proprietary, open IP-based access control utilising PoE. “Our partnership with Open Options offers an excellent solution for open access control,” said Bruce Stewart, Business Development Manager, Access Control, Axis Communications, Inc. “The integration of DNA Fusion with the AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller proves our commitment to bringing strong and valuable access control offerings to the market.”
