The inaugural Fire and Security Matters Awards took place at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 28th April 2022.

Celebrating organisations, teams and individuals from across the UK, the black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony included a significant number of NSI approved companies and their representatives who have achieved the highest standards of excellence and innovation in their pursuit to keep people and property safe. More than 400 guests from the fire and security sectors attended the evening which raised funds for The Fire Fighters Charity.

NSI would like to congratulate all those who won awards in the 12 designated categories, including 13 NSI approved company finalists of whom the following individuals and teams were awarded prizes in 6 categories:

Fire Safety Manager of the Year:

  • Winner - Keith Todd, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
  • Highly Commended – Gary Jarvis, Securitas UK

Fire Systems Installer/Integrator of the Year:

  • Winner - Jamie Dawson, Gemini AMPM Ltd

Security Guarding Company of the Year:

  • Winner - Mitie Security
  • Commended – CIS Security

Security Installer/Integrator of the Year:

  • Winner - National Contracts Team – Tailored Fire and Security Group Ltd

Security Team of the Year:

  • Winner - Mitie/B&Q Detective Team

Security/Risk Manager of the Year:

  • Highly commended – Mark Taylor, Mitie Security

Private security sector

Richard Jenkins, NSI Chief Executive commented: “Recognising the invaluable contribution of those in the private security sector who work tirelessly to keep people and property safe in our everyday lives is crucial.”
