Hanwha Techwin America, a global leader and supplier of video surveillance and security products, announced that Johnell Johnson has joined the company as its Marketing Communications Manager.

Johnell brings the ideal blend of broadcast, communications and social media experience to the Hanwha Techwin America marketing division,” said Miguel Lazatin, Director, Product and Channel Marketing, Hanwha Techwin America. “She will be instrumental in driving messaging and communication initiatives to support the company’s new marketing direction and strategic vision.

Veteran in communication sector

In her role, Ms. Johnson will be responsible for creating and maintaining a dynamic communications plan and leading the development of the company’s advertising campaigns and brand strategy.

Johnson has worked in the broadcast and communication sectors for more than 15 years, most recently serving as communications specialist for ACORD. Prior to that, she was the Public Relations Director and Editor-in-chief for Hi-Tech Crime Solutions. She began her broadcast career in front of the camera, first as news director, anchor and reporter in Cartersville, GA, then as an anchor, reporter and bureau chief for WSET-TV in Danville, VA, followed by three years as an anchor and reporter for News 14 Carolina in Charlotte, NC.
