Gunnebo Entrance Control, a global pioneer in entrance security solutions, has become a signatory of The Anti-Greenwash Charter (TAGC), demonstrating a commitment to transparency, honesty, and accountability in all sustainability communications.

TAGC is a coalition of companies united by the shared goal of eliminating greenwash - the practice of making misleading environmental claims - from their marketing.

Gunnebo’s own values

The framework sets out processes for accurate reporting for all sustainability publications

Gunnebo Entrance Control joins a growing list of industry pioneers, including Morgan Sindell Construction and Karndean, who are committed to upholding transparency and fairness in their sustainability messaging.

The charter’s standards of transparency, accountability, fairness and honesty are in-line with Gunnebo’s own communication values, established in 2023 through the Gunnebo Sustainability Communications Strategy. This framework sets out processes for accurate reporting, internal review and good practice for all sustainability publications.

Sustainability journey

Says Kelsey Parsons, Gunnebo Entrance Control’s Global Sustainability Officer: "We’ve always believed in building long-term, trust-based relationships with our clients. This means being open and transparent about our sustainability journey."

"Becoming a Certified Signatory of The Anti-Greenwash Charter formalises our commitment set out in the strategy to ensuring every environmental claim we make is backed by verifiable data.”

This policy clearly defines how Gunnebo verifies its claims, ensuring that whether discussing emissions reductions, materials recycling, or energy use, the information shared is both accurate and transparent.

Leadership in sustainability

"Our decision to join the Anti-Greenwash Charter reflects our belief that sustainability is a continuous journey that demands openness," added Kelsey.

"In today’s competitive market, it can be tempting to overstate progress, but we want our customers to know they can trust what we say. We believe that true leadership in sustainability comes from being transparent in everything we do."

It’s backed with a pledge by 2025, Gunnebo’s entire marketing team will be certified through the Carbon Literacy Project, reinforcing the company’s dedication to transparency at every level of its operations.

Integrity of environmental communications

Tina Hughan, Gunnebo Entrance Control Global Marketing and Sustainability Director concluded: “In an era where businesses are under increasing pressure to demonstrate genuine sustainability efforts, the integrity of environmental communications has never been more critical."
