barox Kommunikation AG, the global manufacturer of professional standard switches, PoE media converters, and IP extenders specifically designed for video applications, reports a massively successful exhibition attendance at Security Essen 2022.

VMS integration made simple

Enabling barox active switch integration with WinGuard VMS and XProtect, barox promoted their Ethernet switch range’s ease and depth of integration with 3rd party VMS control, displaying their Smart-barox plugins for Milestone and advancis. Enthusiastic customers said that this functionality, ‘Enabled more simple, quicker and budget saving, lower-cost installations.’

barox’s live system integration showed visitors how the company’s integrated Device Management System (DMS) displays enhanced diagnostic data, showing the status of individual cameras and switches, essentially, to allow engineers to quickly pinpoint any network or device issues.

For example, if a network camera fails to respond, barox switches can be used to select a device and then reboot it by switching its PoE power off, and then back on.

Built-in device and networking performance

The range of deep functionality helps system integrators to meet the demands of video surveillance networks"

It was great to see so many visitors to our unique barox stand, which we shared with technical partners Milestone and advancis,” said a delighted Rudolf Rohr, barox's Co-Founder & Managing Partner.

Rudolf Rohr adds, “Our demonstrations of the built-in device and networking performance features were very well received. Feedback, in particular, was on our range of deep functionality, that helps system integrators to meet the demands of video surveillance networks, enabling them to confidently deliver highly efficient systems integration and cyber security, for any size of IP video surveillance network."

Customer hospitality

Rudolf Rohr continues, “A big attraction in its own right and providing a fun atmosphere for trade show visitors, was our on-stand German beer-themed revolving carousel, which was a big hit, providing beverages and a relaxing oasis amidst the busy Security Essen trade show."

He adds, "Our customer hospitality extended further too. On the Tuesday of the show, we hosted a buffet and had a well-known band playing hits from 6.30 until late.
