Traka 21, the innovative plug-and-play key management solution for small and medium-sized businesses, is now offered by ASSA ABLOY Access Control, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions.

Traka 21 key management solution

Designed to provide a simple, efficient and affordable system to help users manage their keys, Traka 21 ensures organisations can trace business assets at all times. The system individually locks every single key or keyset stored in the system in place, to help ensure business operations are never jeopardised.

The key management system allows users to trace and manage up to 21 keys or keysets, with access to keys granted via a secure PIN. By controlling and recording whenever a key is used, security risks are minimised and a business can trace who has accessed a key at any given moment. This record can then be viewed on the cabinet’s display or can be exported via a USB pen drive.

Advanced RFID technology Traka 21 features advanced RFID technology, a touchscreen interface, and does not require a network connection or PC to operate

Traka 21 features advanced RFID technology, a touchscreen interface, and does not require a network connection or PC to operate. The standalone system is also mains operated, plus offered with optional battery back-up.

Claire Jones, Business Development Executive at ASSA ABLOY Access Control, explains: “While the technology for commercial security continues to be increasingly sophisticated, managing critical keys remains a challenge for many businesses. At best, these will be issued from a security desk. At worst, these will be hung from a hook in plain sight. Should these critical keys become lost or fall into the wrong hands, this could pose a huge security risk.

Secure key management

The premise behind Traka 21 is to help ensure the right keys are available for the right people at the right times. A state-of-the-art key management system, Traka 21 is a standalone system that authorises, secures and monitors all of your keys, while also controlling and recording when a key is used and by whom.

To operate the system, users simply have to enter their unique PIN code to access the cabinet. With all keys and keysets individually locked by the Traka 21 unit, those that the user has permission to use will be indicated with a green LED, while those lit by a red LED are unavailable. When returning keys to the system, an amber light will indicate which position a key should be returned to.

For small to medium-sized businesses seeking an intelligent but easy-to-use key management system, Traka 21 offers an effective solution. Get in touch today to find out more about this innovative plug-and-play system.
