Allied Telesis, a global provider of connectivity and network solutions announced that Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) and Allied Telesis CEO and MTI board member, Takayoshi Oshima, delivered a Congressional Staff Briefing on Surface Transportation Targets and Cyber security this January. In a unique opportunity, MTI was invited to present its research on terrorism threats to surface transportation.

Director of the MTI’s Transportation Security Center, Brian M. Jenkins led the discussion with his recent report "Does ‘See Something Say Something’ Work?" Takayoshi Oshima joined Jenkins to discuss managing cyber risks and business exposure in the surface transportation ecosystem. He explained that Allied Telesis has both security and smart automation products that enable an organisation to build a cybersecure network without adding complexity or operational costs.

Enhanced vulnerability diagnosis

With the goal of strengthening its security-related business, Allied Telesis group has launched several new cyber security education and training courses, as well as enhanced vulnerability diagnosis and countermeasure services. Allied Telesis continues to provide innovative solutions and services with a focus on secure networking to “create security for society through the network,” said Oshima.
